Tributyl citrate, chemical name 3-hydroxy-3-carboxyglutaric acid
tributyl, is a kind of ester compound, colorless transparent liquid with
high boiling point, slightly soluble in water, miscible with most
organic solvents. Industrially, it is formed by the reaction of citric
acid and n-butanol. It can be used directly as a plasticizer, and can
also be further processed into acetyl tributyl citrate with excellent
performance. This product is low-toxic and can be regarded as a non-
toxic plasticizer, commonly known as an environmentally friendly
plasticizer, and can replace phthalate plasticizers whose application
range is limited.
