Ivermectin contains at least 80% of 22,23-dihydroavermectin B1a and less than 20%22,23-dihydroavermectin B1b. It is white powder. [α]D+71.5°±3°(C=0.755,chlorof0orm). Maximum absorption(methyl alcohol) of UV is 238,245 nm(ε27100,30100). The water solubility is about 4μg/ml and it is easily soluble in methyl-ethyyl-ketone, propylenne glycol or polypropylenne glycol, but not in saturated hydrocarbon, for example cycl0ohexane.
