| Uses | Chlorodimethylsilane is used to prepare vinyldimethylsilanols for palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling with aryl iodides. Chlorodimethylsilane in combination with a tertiary amine such as triethylamine is another useful reagent for the synthesis of hydrodimethylsilyl ethers, especially for large scale preparations. |
