Trimethyl phosphate is an organic reagent, stable at room temperature, has good solubility in various resins, low viscosity and low hue, so it can be used as a special solvent; epoxy resin additive (reduce viscosity); polyester fiber processing Anti-staining agent (improve dyeing quality); catalyst for polyester fiber polymerization; modifier of graphite products; plasticizer; extractant; pesticide and insecticide raw material. Trimethyl phosphate is hydrolyzed when it encounters water, so it should be protected from moisture during storage. Due to its hydrolysis, it releases PO43-, which becomes a homogeneous precipitant for the formation of insoluble phosphate precipitates, and is often used as a precipitation reagent for zirconium and hafnium and as a diffusion source for the determination of semiconductors. In addition, trimethyl phosphate is also a phospholipid extractant used for the extraction and separation of certain metal ions.
